GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST!!!
Many people who have encountered Pilgrim George have a sense that it was ordained by God, and not just by sheer chance. As for me, I definitely feel that it is part of God's plan that I should have met this holy man and this blog is my very small contribution in assisting in His plan.
Pilgrim George is a humble and softspoken man who has a great sense of peace, love, and joy that surrounds him and that comes from his personal closeness with his savior, Jesus Christ. His steps are those of faith, and his purpose is in lifting the name of Jesus as he walks along the highways.
This blog is meant as a meeting place for all friends, old and new, of Pilgrim George. I hope will be a wonderful testimony to the impact that God has, through his servant, Pilgrim George, on the lives of so many people.
I welcome comments and stories about your fellowship with Pilgrim from his current 2009 Pilgrimage, or any of the past.
Pilgrim will need your prayers as he ventures forth from his poustinia, in Butler, PA, in early May. His 2009 pilgrimage is in honor of the Our Lady of The Angels. May God bless you all.
Yours in Christ,
Rachel (Rae) Baer

How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, "Your God reigns." (Isaiah 52:7)

Here are some comments, from the guestbook, that I thought I'd post to the blog; which might otherwise be overlooked. These are from some new and old friends of Pilgrim George:
I feel what you are doing is so wonderful!!!!!! Seeing you walking today in the 90% weather was something to witiness. My heart went out to you, I found myself worrying about you and couldnt wait till you came by the office so I could invite you in. I even got in my car to go see if you were alright and when I started to pull out I saw you coming. My heart was relieved. God Bless you Pilgram George, it. was a pleasure to have met such a wonderful man of God. My prayers are with you always.

Would love to meet you.I could use a prayer over my body I'm in constant pain from degenerative arthritis and I'm only 40. I was a classmate with George in St. Gregory's Seminary in Cincinnati from 1955-1960. Goerge was one of my closest friends. I recently met with George when he was at Maria Stein. We spent some time sharing. I have had the opportunity to talk with George about five times since 1967. He is truly a man of God and a treasured friend.
