Please pray for Pilgrim George

Dear Friends,

As an update on Pilgrim George, who wrote to me today), I would ask that you join me in praying for him this Wednesday.  He is scheduled for surgery on October 22nd, at 7:30 am.  He is having an outpatient hernia surgery (another).  He says he plans on recuperating, alone, in his poustinia (as he has done after his last three hernia surgeries).

He also shared with me this latest tid bit:

"Last Saturday we had wonderful day of teaching on Pope Benedict's encyclical on Hope.  Eleven people came for the day and we had wonderful fellowship and prayer."

God bless and encourage Pilgrim George.  Let's pray for God's loving protection over Pilgrim and a full recovery from his approaching surgery!

my husband and i was driving across town today when we saw mr george. something you dont see in our small town. my husband said i have to ask if i can take his picture. we stopped and george was very kind and allowed us to take his picture of course we asked questions about his walking through our county. i have to say after meeting him we felt like something had come over us. after driving off we were discussing how hot it was my husband pulled into the store handed me some money and said buy him some water. i did and came back out and proceeded down the road. we couldnt find him. we went to the catholic church in our town to see if he had made it there. we talked to the priest he looked at us like we were crazy at first and as we kept discribing him and telling his story the priest stood up and smiled from ear to ear. my husbands dad attends this church when he can told us that not that many attends mass on saturday night. we drove by and to us it looked like a full house. i have to say meeting mr george has really put a feeling in me that i cant discribe. he has touched me and my husband like no other. i felt like i came as close to god as one could get without actually meeting god. it was wonderful.

today is june 13th and we live in sparta, tn

I met pilgrim george in Corbin Ky. I stopped and asked if I could talk to him, and with a friendly smile he said yes. I was really blessed to converse with this man. Our spirits bore witness that we were both children of God. For days, I couldn't get this man off my mind. I had my wife take a picture of us. I pass this around in several churches that I attend so people could see it and let them learn what this man is all about. I think it is obeying God and trying to win souls for him. I am praying for you Brother George, that God will be with you every step of your journey. The last words that he spoke to me were " I'll see you again, at the end of my journey".
