FRIENDS OF PILGRIM GEORGE

GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST!!!

Many people who have encountered Pilgrim George have a sense that it was ordained by God, and not just by sheer chance. As for me, I definitely feel that it is part of God's plan that I should have met this holy man and this blog is my very small contribution in assisting in His plan.

Pilgrim George is a humble and softspoken man who has a great sense of peace, love, and joy that surrounds him and that comes from his personal closeness with his savior, Jesus Christ. His steps are those of faith, and his purpose is in lifting the name of Jesus as he walks along the highways.

This blog is meant as a meeting place for all friends, old and new, of Pilgrim George. I hope will be a wonderful testimony to the impact that God has, through his servant, Pilgrim George, on the lives of so many people.

I welcome comments and stories about your fellowship with Pilgrim from his current 2009 Pilgrimage, or any of the past.

Pilgrim will need your prayers as he ventures forth from his poustinia, in Butler, PA, in early May. His 2009 pilgrimage is in honor of the Our Lady of The Angels. May God bless you all.

Jerry M. Gavitt: I encountered Pigrim George Septermber th 4th near Morgantown WV. He allowed me to teke him for Breakfast and had a nice conversationj with him and latter he and I prayed on the way back where I picked him up. I fee very lucky to have had met this wonderful man and I hope he somday will see be again.

krm: another sighting oh my....i was up at camp in tionesta this weekend and St. Michaels Byzantine church in Sheffield pa had a sighting of Pilgrim George...I quote from their announcment page..."Pilgrim George will be passing through Sheffield, up into New York state and ending up at the Pilgrimage in Uniontown, Pa. krm: Dear friends.....my husband and I were up the mountains at our camp in tionesta...we went to church on sunday morning and saw Pilgrim George at St. Michael the Archangel in Fryburg....so he is on his way....my friend from Butler said she had a brief conversation with him in towntown Butler as he was leaving on Pilgrimage....and she said she would touch base with him when he returns in the Fall.....2 sitings how cool is that.....God's blessing on him as he journeys on....PeaceChristos vos krese

July 16, 2009 update

Pilgrim George sent me a note. He is in Kingston, Tennessee and is making his way back north. He writes, "...I am making my way back north. We had a big rain storm last night but the Lord kept me safe even in my leaky tent. This morning a 71 year old lady by the name of Jackie picked me up and brought me into town. The Lord continues to provide and sustain."

God bless and protect Pilgrim as he returns to Pennsylvania (Uniontown, PA) for the Otpust!

My parents, Alvin & Carolyn Norris met Pilgrim George today July 22 in a small town north of Knoxville called Maynardville Tennessee. My mother was very impressed with him and made him sandwiches and gave him water. One of her neighbors had called to say that they saw Jesus walking up the road! Of course she wanted to meet him. He was very nice and she and my dad were both happy to have met him on his journey. God Bless Pilgrim George
